Hey all... just wanted to let you know that I changed my username from WitchySaint to DAlexisStPierre.
Also I wanted to announce the NY Times project that Jamie and I have been working so hard on these past few weeks.
was asked (then he asked me since were doing these "Legacy" commissions together) to contribute to the New York Times GLBT & Aliies Network's Gay Pride Celebration.
There will be 10 posters on display for the month of June in the buildings cafeteria. Each poster will show a variety of categories like Entertainers, Trendsetters, Politicians, and Power Duos to name a few. For the first time, comic book characters will be added to the mix.
Each poster will have a list of at least 5 people in each category who has made an impact on the GLBT community. Our board ranges from mainstream to indie comics, a range of the community and all honored for their achievements:
Karma - One of the first openly Lesbian mainstream comicbook characters and for being a mentor/teacher to a new generation.
Phazer - Critically acclaimed Gay indie character praised on how well the character was written and for being an adoptive father/mentor for a group of kids who lost their parents.
Mystique - Iconic Bisexual character in mainstream comics. She is known by many, including people who don't read comics.
Northstar - First openly Gay superhero in mainstream comics.
Batwoman - First openly Lesbian character to have a critically acclaimed on-going series and the first GLBT character to wear an iconic mantle.
These characters were chosen and we were happy to draw/color them. But there's still more. We just finished Shatterstar and Rictor for the Power Duo board (both bisexual men in a gay relationship) and are finishing up Solstice from Teen Titans for the board focusing on Allies to the GLBT community.
You can check out the artwork here:
Thank you guys for all the support!!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope everyone had a fun New Year's weekend!! :D
I wanted to update my journal because I haven't in a while. Lets see...
First and foremost... my back is doing better. It's a chronic problem... so its all about pain management. But my physical therapist has taught me some great tricks to keep my back stretched and keep the pain from spreading and making it hard to work on my art! :D
Now on to Odd19 news... specifically Sin of Omniscience! With my back issues, I realized I needed help so I worked out a deal with my friend ~J-Skipper (https://www.deviantart.com/j-skipper) for him to color the webcomic!! :D So for the next few weeks the hiatus will c
